Why army composition beats brute numbers in mobile strategy

Playing Ironvault Legions reminded me how badly the 'more units equals win' instinct can go wrong. In any strategy game with real counters, composition matters more than headcount.

The trick is to stop thinking of your army as a number and start thinking of it as a rock-paper-scissors set. If the enemy leans heavy on one unit type, a targeted counter squad tears through them while a bigger balanced army trades evenly.

Scouting matters too. Blind attacks are how you lose good armies. Spending a turn or a scout unit to see what you're hitting pays for itself almost every time.

I lost a lot of early matches before this clicked. Once I started building for matchups instead of size, my win rate jumped without me playing any faster.
