Skyward Cartographers

Skyward Cartographers is a calm adventure game where you drift between floating islands in a small airship, filling in a hand-drawn map as you go. There's no combat to speak of; the loop is landing, exploring, and piecing together little stories the islands leave behind.

It looks lovely and the ambient soundtrack is one of the best we've heard on mobile. Discovery is the reward, and the game trusts you to wander without waypoints holding your hand.

The pacing is deliberately slow, so if you want constant action this isn't it. As a wind-down game before bed, though, it's close to perfect.
